Just wanted to thank Barry for all of his help under my tight time restraints. I did tons of research over the past 5 months, but of course waited till the last minute. Many times my questions were answered from this site. What a great place!! Really enjoyed the How to ask her father post, as I will be in the same situation week after next. I was also the first DT'er to take advantage of his 5% discount from Superbcert  I can't wait to see the stone!! It is now at another jeweler where they are making the setting for it. Hope to have it for Memorial Day weekend!! I can't wait to see the finished product!!............

Justin from Manhattan Appraisers gave me a through appraisal, and was extremely accomodating to do it over the phone as he sent pictures to me to discuss what he was doing while he did the appraisal. I can't give enough complements to all three who made this very easy and not the least bit stressful for me...........

OK How I did it. Our first trip together was to Newport, RI so I took her there for the holiday weekend. Took the cliff walk to the end near Reject beach. When we got there we climbed on this rock that extended out into the ocean from the beach, we were alone, with a beautiful view. Pulled a bottle of champagne out of my backpack and poured two glasses and toasted. Then I gave her three roses, pink for the past, red for the present and because I love her, yellow for the future (At this point she started crying) and asked her to marry me. The ring was in the yellow flower, I put it on her hand, and she hugged me and cried for about 10 minutes. Finally I was like "Are you going to look at your ring, do you like it?" She looked down and loved it, and has been staring at it ever since.

I think the best way to explain what Barry, Judah, and SuperbCert did for myself and my fiance is to paste my thank you note to them here at DiamondTalk with some photos.

To anyone considering a purchase, I will be happy to answer ANY and EVERY email I get about my experience. I'm not shy about telling people how 'over and above' SuperbCert went for me... simply the best experience I have had buying something, regardless of WHAT I was buying.

My new fiancé and I wanted to take a minute to thank you... writing this falls woefully short of the 'thanks' that are in order for the service, craftsmanship, and outright perfection that SuperbCert has shown us.

First, I have NEVER seen a diamond so beautiful as the one I purchased from you. I looked at MANY stones covering a wide array of colors, cuts, and sizes. From Day 1, you explained what makes an amazing diamond so amazing, you held patience as I shopped and asked questions spanning many weeks, and you even worked on a payment arrangement that fit my needs.

My fiancé's diamond makes other women, and even men who know NOTHING about diamonds, stop dead in their tracks. It is quite simply the most stunning diamond I have seen in any ring... EVER.

The setting. Early on, I fell in love with an unobtainable setting made by Tiffany and Co. Of course Tiffany was unwilling to sell me a setting without a diamond. I checked many retail stores looking for a setting comparable to the Tiffany... I found nothing even close.

After explaining my situation, you offered to have the setting hand made for me in solid platinum, at a cost far more reasonable than I had seen in the stores. Again, a few weeks of questions and concerns...

and again... they were all for nothing. The setting made for us by SuperbCert doesn't just meet expectations... it outright captures the essence of perfection in every way. The setting, in my opinion, is better in shape and build than even the Tiffany settings I saw. The side diamonds set into the channel are spectacular... the shine given to the setting is breathtaking... and the head used to secure the main stone is flawless in both shape and spacing.

I am simply amazed at what you and SuperbCert accomplished with a few pictures and a few emails from me describing what I wanted. Equally impressive was your own scrutiny regarding the setting and it's finish... I was FLOORED when you called and asked for a few extra days because you had found a flaw in one of the small side stones that you weren't 100% pleased with. Any other jeweler would have simply shipped it off... but your team took the path of integrity, and this is a quality that can not be purchased for any amount of money at ANY store.

Last, but not least... everything was on-time, on-budget, and delivered EXACTLY as you said it would be, and exactly WHEN you said it would be. Time was tight for me on this, and you and your team worked to ensure everything was perfect...

This stone is one of the most important purchases of my life, not from a monetary perspective, but from a 'meaning' perspective. The diamond, to me, symbolizes everything you love about the woman you want to marry... it's all of the love, hopes, dreams, pains, past, present, and future compressed over a billion years and discovered by someone who put more care and love into it while it is painstakingly cut and polished. It is everything that was, is, and will be. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to give a symbol of a relationship...

How fitting that YOU sold us this stone... you put more time and effort into your clients and your business than any other company I have seen, in any industry. Not only was our stone flawless, but so was our entire experience...

Your name and number has been emailed to every single person in my address book... and written on restaurant napkins 3 times to date, to a few people who saw the ring and asked about it.
